The 48 Hour Home involves the construction and sale of a modular home to benefit the Homebuilders and Modular Homebuilders of Maine. The modular home is being constructed by the students of the Bath Regional Vocational Center.

The Bath Regional Vocational Center has been using home construction as a teaching tool for over 30 years.  In recent years, they have adopted the modular building system, building the homes at the school in lieu of on scattered sites.  This has enhanced the learning experience for the students.

When the students have completed the home in May, it will be transported to Topsham Crossing, installed and sold as a MaineHousing Certified "Green" home to a buyer who qualifies for the MaineHousing First-Time Homebuyers Program.  This project will incorporate the Homebuilders, MaineHousing, the local Rotary, the Vocational students and local and statewide media in a truly beneficial demonstration of our commitment to Vocational Education.

Times are tough, but the Homebuilders and Modular Homebuilders are determined to keep this ship sailing.  Any help you can offer will be an investment in the revitalization of our businesses.  Your donation or other assistance with this project will be honored with signs at the
Bath Regional Vocational Center, on the  job site at Topsham Crossing, and your company will be included in all literature and promotions as a valued donor.
