The Modular Home
Builders Association of Maine (MHBA of ME) deals with
any array of issues; directly to the modular industry. This spring, we have
taken action on statewide and local growth ordinances, Affordable
Housing issues, and the development of a State Model Energy Code.
Members of MHBA of ME sit on the Manufactured Housing Board (MFHB) and
both of its committees dealing with licensing and codes. Throughout the
coming year, members of MHBA of ME will be advocating for our industry.
Your support for that effort is important and as simple as joining our organization. Our affiliation with the NAHB is invaluable.
This last year has been
filled with activity. In February, members spent the day on 'The
Hill' in Augusta discussing modular home issues with our
representatives. Our bi-monthly meetings are informative. This year we
had visits from politicians, our own lobbyist, Bob Howe, and the Maine
Economic Research Institute. You will have the opportunity to
socialize and network with other builders and associates.
The $450.00 membership
means you will be a member of the National Association of Home Builders
(NAHB), the HBRA of ME and the MHBA of ME. Thank you for your interest.
